Nuclear Medicine is a specialized area related to the safe and convenient diagnosis and treatment of conditions and diseases using radioisotopes. Nuclear Medicine can be divided into in vivo imaging and radioisotope treatment.
The functions of this department can be divided into tests and treatments. The tests are associated with multiple systems, including the skeletal, nerve, cardiovascular, renal and urinary, endocrine, liver biliary GI and respiratory systems.
For treatment, outpatient programs for thyroid cancer and hyperthyroidism are conducted using radio iodine.
